Downloading eBooks

How to Download

If you're not downloading from our currently supported sites - iTunes, Kobo, Smashwords or Amazon - you can download your e-book or e-book bundle from our site using the download link that appears after you've completed your checkout transaction. Just click it and save to your computer. If you need to interrupt your purchase before checkout, you can save your cart for later retrieval.

None of our titles are DRM protected, so there should be no problem with sideloading. This term is used to describe indirectly installing books on an ereader, rather than through a direct connection to a retailer like Amazon or Kobo.

Sideloading

ePUBs can be sideloaded on to Kobo and Nook readers, and on to iPads, Android tablets and all smartphones, by downloading the files to your computer and copying them directly using a micro-USB cable (or proprietary Apple cable for Apple devices), or indirectly using an SD or microSDHC card where your device supports one of these formats.

You can sideload most Kindle devices by downloading book files to your computer and copying them directly using a micro-USB cable or have them sent to your device wirelessly using Amazon's Kindle Personal Documents service.Use this link in the UK and this link outside the UK.

Reading Your eBooks

All our files can be read on computers, tablets or smartphones using the appropriate free Kindle app for .mobi format books, or the equally free Kobo, Nook or generic ePUB reader apps for ePUB format books.

We recommend the free Adobe Digital Editions for reading ePUB format ebooks and managing your ebook library on desktop or laptop PCs or Macs.

This software will recognise an ePUB as you download it and allow you to add it to your library with one click.
